On 17 June 2020, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces shelled Kurdish villages in Hajj Umran, Balet Kaiti, Dazul Alan, Jabal Boaz, and Kiel Ghazali in the Choman district, Erbil province for a second day targeting PKK, PDKI and PJAK hideouts. A number of farmers were injured and many residents as well as farmers were forced to flee in fear of the shelling.
