On 17 June 2020, Irans Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces shelled a number of positions of the PKK, PDKI and PJAK in the Choman district of Erbil. The Kelasin, Marin and Barazan areas (Kurdish name) of Zagros area (coded as Halgurd Mountain) were targeted. No causalities were reported.
