On 22 July 2020, at least 14 civilians were killed by Afghan military airstrikes targeting civilian areas and a wedding in Adraskan district, Herat. Around 31 civilians were injured. Military sources claimed to have targeted a Taliban gathering killing 45 people including 9 civilians. Other sources state that majority of the victims were civilians including 5 Taliban fighters. Lower number of fatalities coded.
