On 12 July 2019, a 13-year-old IS suicide bomber hit a wedding organized by a local pro government militia commander Malik Toor in Pachir Wa Agam district, Nangarhar. 9 people were killed, including the commander and the bomber, and 14 injured. The Islamic State issued a statement claiming the attacked, however they reported 27 people killed and 43 injured.
