On 11 April 2023, in Mongmit town (Mongmit township, Mongmit district, Shan-South region), an unidentified armed group exploded three bombs, including two bombs at the Thingyan pavilion near the Mya Nan Dar lotus pond in the South ward once at around 9 pm and another around 10:30 pm. There were no casualties.
