On 12 April 2023, between Thar Yar Kone and Pin Hin Khar villages (coded as Thar Yar Kone) (Banmauk township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Banmauk PDF carried out a mine attack on military forces at around 11 am, killing around ten military soldiers.
