On 12 April 2023, in Shwe Pay Kone village of Yinmarbin township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the police battalion 28 fired heavy weapons at the village without an armed clash occurring at around 1 am and the shells hit and killed an 11-year-old child and injured an 80-year-old woman.
