On April 9, a Pakistani intruder, identified as Mohammad Sharief Kohli, was shot dead and two others, identified as Mohammad Shakeel and Tariq Kohli were apprehended as Indian army foiled an infiltration bid along Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur sector of Poonch District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Three bags with 14 packets of narcotics weighing about 17 kilograms, Pakistani currency, and some documents have been recovered in the operation, the sources said. The official statement reported that two intruders who were apprehended claimed to be residents of Maidan Mohalla in Chanjal village in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).
