5th April 2023
On April 5, Security Forces (SFs) neutralised a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of ammunition and explosive material in Jamalwan forest in Khari village of Ramban District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. A 52 mm mortar bomb, four detonators, cordtex wire (detonating cord), five magazines of AK assault rifle, two pistol magazines, Light Machine Gun (LMG) ammunition belt box, 292 rounds of assorted ammunition and several other related items, were recovered. “Given the rusted condition of the recovered material, it seems the hideout was an old one (when militants used to operate in the area over a decade back) and the graph of militancy is on decline in Ramban District, Police stated.
