Nearly 6,000 people were evacuated in Neuss, Germany, after the discovery of an unexploded British bomb weighing 500 kilograms. Bild clarifies that everything happened in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. People were forced to leave their homes. According to media reports, the projectile has already been defused. The explosion would cause devastating damage in a radius of 200 meters. The evacuees were taken to a safe place, people were given food packages. A total of 22 emergency vehicles and three buses were involved. “During an inspection of a construction site in the city center, in the Augustinusviertel district, experts identified five suspicious sites for the presence of unexploded bombs,” notes the edition. Due to the incident, city officials have asked motorists to avoid the area.
