JALALABAD CITY (Pajhwok): A six-year-boy has been killed and his eight-year-old sister injured in an Explosive Remnant of War (ERW) blast in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday. Police Spokesperson Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened on late on Thursday in the Dwano village of Kot districts. These children found the unexploded shell and when hit it with a stone it exploded, he added. The injured child had been shifted to the hospital for treatment, he said. Mohammad Nawab, the resident of locality, said that these children had found the shell and wanted to sell it in the scrape shop but it exploded on them.
