On 11 April 2023, ISWAP planted an explosive device which detonated in Dutse (Dutse, Jigawa). One person who was wounded, claimed that he found a bag kept by the road which he took to his shop and found a device like a clock on which. ISWAP claimed the attack and the death of an unspecified number of persons, other sources report one person was wounded.
