On 12 April 2023, Russian forces shelled Ukrainian positions near Novoselivske, Luhansk region, with artillery and heavy flamethrower systems. According to Russian sources, on that day 35 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on Kupiansk axis near Dvorichna, Novoselivske, Tymkivka and Synkivka, 2 cars and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer were destroyed. 35 fatalities split across 4 locations and coded as 8.
