A powerful explosion in a powder magazine in the municipality of Totolapan, Morelos, left seven people dead and 15 more injured, reported the State Coordination of Civil Protection (CEPCM). The agency said that the first information about the explosion showed that the explosion originated inside a house that was being used as a clandestine powder magazine. In the damaged building "the clandestine manufacture and storage of fireworks was being carried out", explained the Morelos Civil Protection. Due to the seriousness of their injuries, three people were taken to hospital units and the other 12 received care at the site.
