Undefined Explosive Device (UED)
Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Valdemoro, Mercadona area, Spain on Tue 14th March 2023
14th March 2023
After 4pm, the three Mercadona supermarkets in Valdemoro had to be evacuated due to a suspected bomb threat. The image of the users leaving the centres, together with the workers crowded at the doors, surprised and worried the neighbours, especially the parents who were collecting their children from the nearby schools. "There were children who had come in to buy a snack, so we got quite a scare," a neighbour told ZIGZAG. The supermarkets are being inspected by security forces. At this hour, the establishment in Calle Estrella Elola has been reopened, while the other two are still closed. The neighbouring streets will remain closed until officers finish inspecting the area and rule out any threat.
