Undefined Explosive Device (UED) event in Oxfordshire, Broad Street, Oxford area, United Kingdom on Mon 3rd April 2023

Thames Valley Police is urging the public to avoid Oxford city centre as an incident is dealt with. It is understood that the incident is a "bomb scare" with our reporter at the scene having been told police are looking for a suspicious package. We have contacted Thames Valley Police to confirm this. The latest police statement said: "We are aware of an incident in Oxford city centre in the vicinity of Broad Street. "We currently have a cordon in place and advise the public to avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with.
