On 6 April 2023, in Mingaladon township (Yangon-North district, Yangon region), an unidentified local defense force attacked Myanmar military soldiers stationed at the military's Mingaladon airbase with improvised rocket launchers and machine guns at around 9:0 pm as part of the Yangon urban guerrilla special operation. Five rockets landed on the airbase and near the aviation fuel storage tank. The fuel storage tank was damaged and the runway of the airbase caught on fire. Casualties unknown.
