On 5 April 2023, in Pathein town (Pathein township, Pathein district, Ayeyarwady region), the Pathein Special Task Force attacked Myanmar military soldiers stationed at a bunker in front of the Myanma Economic Bank with two remote mines at around 7 am. A tuk-tuk driver sustained minor injuries from the explosion.
