On March 18 (today), an encounter broke out between terrorists and Security Forces (SFs) in the Mitrigam area of Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) after SFs launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, reports The Hindu. The terrorists opened fire on the SFs, who retaliated, and the encounter is ongoing, with no reports of any casualties on either side so far, Kashmir Zone Police adds on Twitter.
