A Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) ‘zonal commander’, identified as Sheetal Mochi alias Sheetal Ram alias Sheetal Ravidas, expert in planting Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bombs, was arrested from Shanti Jungle under Balumath Police Station limits in Latehar District of Jharkhand on March 16, reports bhaskar.com. It is said that Sheetal Mochi, who carried a reward of INR 500,000, is close to Ravindra Ganjhu, the ‘regional commander’ of the CPI-Maoist. A total of 25 criminal cases are registered against Sheetal Mochi in various Police Stations. Police recovered a 7.65 mm Lod desi pistol, five live 7.65 mm cartridges, 20 rounds of live AK-47 bullets, and Rs 10,000 in ‘levy’ (extortion money) cash from his possession.
