On 19 March 2023, between Du Yin Seik and War Bo Taw villages (coded as Du Yin Seik) (Thaton township, Thaton district, Mon state), a combined force of the KNLA and the PDF (under the NUG) carried out mine attacks against two Myanmar military trucks traveling from Hpa-An township to Thaton township at around 11 am. Five military soldiers were killed and five injured.
