On 18 March 2023, between La Maing and Ma Gyi Kone villages (coded as La Maing) (Madaya township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Demon Underground Revolutionary Force carried out mine attacks against a Myanmar military column of around 60 soldiers who were marching from Kyauk Ta Dar village to the eastern part of the township in the morning. Two military soldiers were killed and several injured.
