A three-year-old child died in the morning of Wednesday, March 8, in the commune of Kadutu, Bukavu, following the explosion of a device described as a grenade, according to local sources. "It is a child under 3 years old who died. We saw how he was taken to the care and a few minutes later they came back crying," said a source on the spot. "A grenade went off in the Nyamugo neighborhood. It was a 3-year-old boy who found a grenade underneath a vehicle when he was playing with his colleagues. The child took it to his grandfather's house. When he handed the grenade to his grandfather, it exploded and the child died instantly. His grandfather was seriously injured," said Hippocrate Marume, president of the civil society of the commune of Kadutu.
