A mortar shell was found in a house on Hondstraat in central Maastricht on Friday. The shell was in a crate in the attic and was discovered while clearing the property. The Explosives Disposal Service (EOD) was quickly on site and secured and took away the mortar shell, measuring 37 centimetres in length.
