Grenade event in Valencia, Valencia area, Spain on Sat 4th February 2023

The Valencia Court of Appeal is judging two men who allegedly had in their possession and intended to sell a mortar grenade, without a fuse but with an explosive charge inside, although in a poor state of conservation. The Prosecutor's Office claims that one of them kept it in his chalet in Ll’ria and at one point handed it over to the other, who hid it in a storage room at his home in Burjassot and had placed an advert to sell it on a social network. In the latter place, it was seized by the National Police on 29 September 2021. The Public Prosecutor's Office is now requesting a six-year prison sentence for both defendants for the crime of storing weapons of war. The hearing will be held on 9 February, starting at ten o'clock in the morning, in the fourth section of the Provincial Court of Valencia.
