A house in De Bethani‘nstraat in Mechelen (province of Antwerp) was damaged by an explosion on Thursday morning after unidentified people threw a projectile that could be a Molotov cocktail, police said. The faade and a car parked nearby were damaged. The police did not report any injuries. The Antwerp public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation to determine whether there is a link with the drug trade, which is used to this modus operandi. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service went to the scene to make the necessary observations.
