On 12 March 2023, Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting several pro-Iran militias positions including a weapons' warehouse and a scientific research center, killing at least two unidentified individuals and one Syrian regime forces major, and wounding five others, including three Syrian regime forces members, in the area of Heir Abbas, on the Wadi Al Uyun road, and the area between Hama and Tartus provinces (coded to Masyaf) in Hama countryside. 3 fatalities split between 2 locations, 2 fatalities coded to Wadi Al Uyun and 1fatality in Masyaf.
