On 15 March 2023, Turkish army tanks, helicopters, artillery, and unspecified heavy weapons shelled PKK positions in Cemco (Cheme Ci) area of Al Amadiya district, Duhok. HPG (PKK) claimed that Turkish forces used bombs containing poisonous gas during the shelling, but this was not confirmed by other sources. Casualties unknown.
