On 16 March 2023, in the east of Twin Lel village (Thayet township, Thayet district, Magway region), a man from the Tha Man Pyin village stepped on a landmine while going to collect bamboo and firewood along with two other men from the same village at around 6 pm. The man who stepped on the landmine was severely injured, and another two were slightly injured from the explosion.
