Witnesses claimed there was a large police presence at a property last week A man who was arrested on suspicion of possessing an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose has been bailed until June 15, police have confirmed. Last Thursday (March 16) officers carried out a search warrant at an address in Camelford. Witnesses reported seeing a large police presence at a property in Pras an Ferla on both Thursday and Friday. People living nearby also claimed officers were searching a garden and a house and removing supposed evidence in a number of bags. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a a 57-year-old local man was arrested In a previous statement, a police spokesperson said: "Police carried out a search warrant at an address in Camelford on Thursday 16 March, and a 57-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose. He remains in police custody." However, in an update today (March 20), a police spokesperson has confirmed that the individual has been bailed until June 15.
