On 17 February 2020, anti-Houthi National Resistance and Saudi-led coalition forces reportedly fired 60 artillery shells, 13 mortar shells and several machine guns at scattered areas of Hays district in western Yemen (Hodeidah) with no report of fatalities nor injuries. In the south of the district, a brick factory and a bridge were shelled, while the northwest of the district was also targeted.
