On 6 March 2023, in Ka Lon village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), around 100 military forces from the Sagaing based LID 33 raided the village by firing heavy weapons and were stationed in the village. More than 8,000 locals from seven villages of Mon Hla, Ka Lon, Ngar Yon Gyi, Thar Wut Hti, Shar Taw, Shin Min Dway and Tha Yet Kone were forced to flee. Casualties unknown.
