On 7 March 2023, in Shwegu township (Bhamo district, Kachin state), military forces from the Shwegu police station fired about ten rounds of heavy artillery indiscriminately at about 10 pm, claiming that local people's defense forces entered the Yae Lel and Moe Sit villages. A 50-year-old woman was injured.
