On 7 March 2023, an unidentified armed group detonated IEDs and set the home of the PDP candidate for Okigwe constituency in the Imo state house of assembly ablaze in Umulolo community (Okigwe, Imo). Two houses and vehicles that were parked within the compound were destroyed.
