On 9 March 2023, between Nat Yae Kan and Yae Poe Sar villages (coded as Nat Yae Kan) (Chaung-U township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Snap Kite Guerrilla Force, the Chaung-U PDF, the Sagaing District PDF battalion 4, the BC Special Guerrilla Force and the Zoe Fighter People Defence Force carried out a Myanmar military convoy transporting copper with three cluster mines at around 1:30 pm. At least seven military soldiers were killed in four mine attacks in three locations (between Nat Yae Kan and Yae Poe Sar villages of Chaung-U township, beyond Yae Poe Sar village of Chaung-U township, and near Gway Pin Taw village of Myinmu township). Fatalities split across three locations, coded as 2 for this event.
