On 9 March 2023, in Nan Neint village of Pinlaung township (Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military fired artillery rounds into the village indiscriminately without an armed clash occurring at night. An artillery shell landed in a monastery and damaged the roof and the building. There were no casualties.
