On 9 March 2023, IRG forces from the 3rd Presidential Guard Brigade shelled Al Qasha, Ash Shatbah, and Al Awsaj villages in Jayshan district (Abyan) for the second consecutive day. Casualties unknown. The source claimed that this followed disputes between the forces and the tribes after the tribes refused to allow forces to station in the district.
