A suspected grenade which was found near Kivel Court in Salisbury on Monday (March 6) has been destroyed in a controlled explosion, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police has confirmed. The device was found shortly before 2pm just off Churchill Way. A cordon was set up near the location of the device and locals were asked to Ôavoid the areaÕ. Reports at the time said: ÒHeavy traffic due to security alert and police incident on A36 Churchill Way West near Kivel Court. Cordon in place. Ó
