Missile event in Donetsk, Bakhmut area, Ukraine on Sun 12th March 2023

Police in Donetsk region recorded about fifty violations of the laws and customs of war by Russians During the day, the occupiers struck 48 times at civilians. There are dead and wounded. The enemy attacks affected 15 settlements - the cities of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Konstantinovka, Kurakhovo, Lyman, the villages of Vremivka, Ivanopillya, Karlivka, Lastochkino, Maksimilyanovka, Mykolayivka, Novobakhmutivka, Severne, Tonenke, Khromove. The enemy fired from aircraft, S-300, Grad and Uragan MLRS, artillery, mortars and tanks. Forty-one civilian objects were destroyed and damaged, including 27 residential buildings, a TB clinic, an employment centre, shops, a factory workshop, a warehouse, a railway track, power lines, a garage, and transport. As a result of the attacks, a civilian was killed and a house damaged in Tonenke village, and three houses and critical infrastructure were damaged in Novobakhmutivka. The situation in Avdiivka was noisy, with no casualties reported. Kostyantynivka was shelled seven times, the Russian army shelled the town with Uragan and artillery. As a result of the shelling, a person was killed and injured. Four private houses, civilian cars, two shops and other infrastructure were damaged. The Russians fired at Lyman with an S-300 missile. An apartment building and an infrastructure facility were destroyed. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured. As a result of hostile attacks, a woman was wounded in Maksymilianivka and a man in Mykolaivka. The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. With the help of the police, 176 more people were evacuated, bringing the total number of people evacuated since the start of the mandatory evacuation to over 50,028, including 6,660 children and 2,415 people with disabilities.
