Projectile event in Tirana County, Tiran‘ area, Albania on Wed 1st March 2023

A 40-year-old man was arrested for multiple murders and injuries in multiple locations. His first victim was a 40-year-old woman, whom he stabbed with a knife after she refused to give him money. He drove to the house of his ex-wife, where he murdered two women, i.e. the sister and the sister-in-law of his wife, with an AK-47 automatic rifle and stabbed his 35-year-old wife and her mother, aged 60. The perpetrator later killed another woman, aged 31, with the firearm, who the police suspect was the sister of a man the perpetrator had a conflict while in prison. Twelve shell casings were found at the second crime scene and six were found at the third crime scene, while the firearm was found during perpetrator's arrest. The perpetrator has a criminal record and was recently released from prison.
