A 55-year-old woman, identified as Jema Bahanda, suffered injuries in her legs in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion suspected to have been triggered by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in Rankuburu Forest under Tonto area in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on February 23, reports The Telegraph. The incident took place when Bahanda went inside Rankuburu Forest to collect firewood, Superintendent of Police (SP), Ashutosh Shekhar said. Bahanda, who was seriously injured in the blast, was taken to Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa and her condition is stated to be stable.
