On 1 March 2023, near Zay Di Pyin village of Rathedaung township (Sittwe district, Rakhine state), a 38-year-old local civilian was severely injured by a landmine explosion when he was collecting bamboo from nearby forest at around 9 am. His left-side leg was cut off by the explosion.
