On 1 March 2023, in Du Yin Seik village of Thaton township (Thaton district, Mon state), the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) carried out drone strikes against the Myanmar military troops from 24th Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) who were on security duty at around 10:30 am. Ministry of Defense - NUG reported that two military soldiers died and injured two others in the drone strikes.
