On 28 February 2023, in Za Bu Thi Ri township (Det Khi Na district, Nay Pyi Taw), the Sittaung Urban Guerrilla Group (Nay Pyi Taw) attacked the house of the former Deputy Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw, who also served as a member of the Central Executive Committee of the USDP party, at the intersection of Myit Nge and Sandi streets in Shwe Kyar Pin ward with a bomb at around 7 pm. He was not present in his house when the explosion occurred. There were no casualties.
