On 27 February 2023, in Tachileik town (Tachileik township, Tachileik district, Shan-East state), four consecutive explosions occurred near the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) in Ma Kar Ho Hkam ward at around 9 pm. Another explosion occurred near the USDP office at around 11 pm. The ward administrator, who went to investigate the first explosion, was injured by three other consecutive explosions. Six other people were also injured. The Eastern Dragon claimed responsibility for the explosions.
