On 25 February 2023, in Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of Brave Heart Army and three other people's defense forces attacked Pyu Saw Htee, who were stealing crops from the farmlands of residents who had fled the military raids in the township, with five landmines. A Pyu Saw Htee member was killed, and some others were injured.
