Grenade event in Jammu and Kashmir, Tangdhar sector of Kupwara District area, India on Thu 16th February 2023

On February 16, a terrorist was injured during an intense firefight between Security Forces (SFs) and three terrorists during an anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports PTI. SATP has earlier mentioned that SFs neutralised one of the terrorists. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Youghal Manhas confirmed that the remaining two terrorists managed to flee, and one of them escaped to Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) under the cover of darkness. SFs recovered one AK series rifle, one light automatic weapon, six magazines, two grenades and a large quantity of war-like stores from the site,The Hindu adds.
