On 20 February 2023, ISWAP militants on motorcycles fired several mortar shells targeted at a military base in Buni Yadi (Gujba, Borno). Sources report that the shells fell in different directions without any impact, ISWAP claimed to have attacked an army camp with a 40mm grenade launcher.
