On 21 February 2023, a magnetic bomb attached to a private Hilux exploded near the Abu Fazl Shrine, a predominantly Hazara area in PD2 of Kabul city. Taliban officials claimed no casualties, but some sources reported that two children were injured. There were claims that the security guard of the Taliban's deputy prime minister could be connected to attackers as he filmed the moment of explosion, but unclear if he was involved with the attack. He was arrested.
