On 24 February 2023, in Rio de Janeiro - West Zone (Rio de Janeiro), two people detonated a homemade explosive device in the Cidade de Deus neighborhood. Four people were injured, of which one was the daughter of a local drug trafficker. Two of the injured were children. There were no fatalities.
